Can Any Substance Melt?

Some substances don't melt because they are subject to a chemical change or sublimation (i.e. a direct change from solid to gas), before reaching the melting point.

Changes in melting temperature (ΔT) at different pressures can be calculated using the Clausius-Clapeyron equation, which also applies to other phase transitions.
